Oletrips around the La Axarquia region

Malaga Province. Have you ever heard about la Axarquía? La Axarquía is a small region located in the east of the province of Malaga, rich in culture and traditions. It is also the region where three cultures meet: the Moorish, Jewish and Christian.

Based in Nerja, a popular tourist and expat town, you will find Oletrips. They specialise in small group tours with a maximum of 8 people and a guide-driver. A great bolt-on for any holiday in the region.

They offer up to ten different personalised tours of Axarquia from which to choose. One such tour is the Sun and Wine tour; this is how they describe it.

Sun and Wine, what a combination! It starts by collecting you from your accommodation and taking you to the beaches in Torrox (known to have the best climate in Europe) before moving on to its historic centre, which is full of flowers and Moorish architecture.

After Torrox, you are taken to the town of Cómpeta, known for producing some of the best wines in the region. Visiting a wine cellar in the town for a wine-tasting session is a must. In fact, one of the muscatel wines you will taste at the Wine Cellar was served at the wedding of King Felipe IV and Queen Letizia.

From there, you will be taken to the village of Sayalonga to enjoy an Andalusian lunch made with local produce and wine. To finish, you will enjoy an after-lunch walk through the village before returning to your accommodation.
